Help! While out eating lunch I dropped a bit of olive oil on my red leather handbag. I treated it with leather cream and spray about 1½ months ago but it still left a mark.

What can I do to remove or diminish the mark?

year ago fullers earth was sprinkled on suede and leather to clean it
Leather tends to be quite 'hungry' and will soak up any oils and emollients it is offered.

Rather than trying to remove the oil stain, add to it by feeding the rest of the bag with a proprietary leather product.
Or what crossed my mind, rub olive oil over it all.
