My daughter has 4, two of which are wire haired fox terriers and one of them is called Charlie too
Dizmo, I take my hat off to you. You and your mum are doing a wonderful job. Well done to both of you.

I can't really take credit. I love dogs and I do a little bit here and there but my mum is the one who deserves the medal not me. I'm here all day so it doesn't take a lot to let them out and make sure the water is clean and topped up. They are all clean (they mark their territory though which is hard to stop) so I don't have to clean up any mess. My sister in law and mother started up BDRR but Sarah has never really done any of the hands on stuff, just the re homing which is all for publicity.. - she never really got her hands dirty. My mum does nearly everything if not everything. My mum is running it on her own now and I'm not the Treasurer for BDRR. I try and help as much as I can. Hats off to Mandy people, not me.
Oh Dizmo , those pictures are great. Since I lost my dog , a big bit of me went with her and I am empty . Give them all an extra pat from me xx

flump1 thanks.

Someone gave me a link to a play nowhere near me that does something similar but they foster the dogs. I can't remember who it was but just to let you know my mum has emailed them.

We don't just let them live inside the conservatory, my mum also has them sleep on her at night whilst she watches T.V. How her and her husbands relationship is still going I don't know - he's a bit anal when it comes down to 'dog hairs'. It does look like a mad house at the best of times!
Oh you rescue and rehome dogs, that is brilliant. Daughter rescued the two foxes and one of the other, even paying quite a bit for him but she couldn't bear to leave him in the squalor he was in. Your Charlie is a real cutie and, yes, they would bite. Your mum is doing a great job an you obviously help out a lot.
Does the rescue have a website?
Question Author
Tilly yeah - www.borneholmdogs.org.uk/

Sarah is the one who puts stuff on the website which is why it isn't up to date. I'm going to ask for access so I can do that part of the job.

Lovely photos dizmo, can see you are a very compassionate person.
Hi Diz, those dogs are so lucky to have you and your Mum. X
I hope Rufus is ok.
I had a poodle years ago, I had him from a man who was taking him to the vets to be put down, I only stopped to stroke him, and the man gave him to me on the street outside the vets!!!!!!!
He said he hated him and was taking him to be put to sleep.
I took him there and then, and took him to my own vets, poor little fella had two broken ribs and a broken tail, he spent 5 very much loved years with us before he passed away. X
Keep up the good work, you and your mum are doing a wonderful job. XX
And by the way... as my Dad would say.....Never put yourself down, one day there may not be anybody around to pick you back up again. :-)

Sparkles that was so nice. Rupert (my mum calls him that instead of rufus) has an infection, it's rather bad given the type of infection but he is now on medication.

Like I said before though, I don't deserve any credit and I'm not putting myself down not regards the dogs anyway. I just generally put myself down. She does all the work, I just help when I can if I can. Most of the time when I work with the dogs it's because I feel I'm no better than they are. I don't work, I don't ask for a lot and I won't turn down love. Maybe in a past life I was a dog.

Good News, not about Rufus but about Jimmy. We brought him in last night into the main part of the house (caged). He needs to stay in a cage for a few days until we can ascertain who he can and can't be with but at least he's not outside anymore :) The weather is going to drop soon so....
Good stuff diz ! Your family is so very kind !

Sparkles: I showed my mum your last comment and you could see the upset and happiness in her face when she read about your poodle :)
