Hi Everyone
Being a big fan of the crime fiction-James Patterson and Alex Gray being my fav authors,I think I've listened (audiobooks) to most of them and many others similar that came out up to mid 2012.Now I am ready to search further a field via my local library. Can you recommend fast paced crime fiction books and authors.I know i could ask the library and i can also search Google but where's the fun in that ;0)
Thanks in advance to all for your suggestions xxx
Heathfield-a lot of his newer books are written jointly with another. Not the same person i've noticed but must admit when JP writes the books solely they seem to be better written.
A couple of years ago I heard on the radio that JP was writing 27 new books at the one time.I can well believe it as there are many series's of what he writes but i'm sure he has a team behind him too
Agree with granny grump, Michael Connelly is excellent. Reading "The reversal" at the moment where his characters, Bosch and Haller are working together.
Love Quintin Jardine's "Skinner" books - quite a few of them now, but if I remember rightly the first one was called Skinner's Rules. All set in Edinburgh.
Thanks everyone for your answers, keep your suggestions coming in-can never have too many of them.Thanks.
Daisynonna-yes I've had 5 of Faye Kellerman's to date and apart from one-Capital Crimes i liked them all (Blood games,Blindman's Buff, Hangman, Ritual Bath).
Only had the one Linwood Barclay-Accident
Kathy Reichs, who is the original author behind the "Bones" tv series take on her books. Saw the tv programme initially, but, the books are much darker and apart from the main character "temperance" sharing the name,it all ends there. Very detailed, dark, interesting and page turning! Completely authentic forensic crime!
