Hi! I was wondering if anyone who's stayed in Bath could recommend a really nice hotel, preferably centrally located.

We're hoping to go for the weekend of 24th-26th February. I'm having a hard time finding somewhere decent for 75 a night- any suggestions?

Thanks in advance

Have you looked at http://www.smoothound.co.uk/ site yet. Always a good list on there. Click on Bath location and have a troll through. Lots of nice Georgian places in the centre which should suit and rates are usually around the 70 mark so should suit.

There are lots to choose from. Bath has a many small independent hotels as well as the chains. If you avoid the dead centre you get a slightly better rate, but watch out for the hills on the outskirts. If you want to walk into town its a killer.

I have heard that the Paradise House Hotel is good. If you type 'paradise house hotel bath' into google, that will find their website.

Try www.kelkoo.co.uk you just stick in the dates and a good selection are displayed.

Hope this helps

Now I know that what I am going to suggest is not a hotel with hot and cold running staff but you considered a Travelodge. There is one in the centre of Bath and week-ends are the perfect time to use one.

You could spend the money you save on eating out well.

i can't remember the name of the hotel, but it was behind the station & had a lil' canal running past the windows. was a bit expensive, but bloody good location & brekkie yummy & tons of it. it was quite a biggie& a chain. but then again if i went back i'd go to the travelodge. v.central & 80.00 per rm per night

sorry claire85...its is menzies waterside hotel. (can't do the internet link thingy, but they do have a website wiv a virtual tour)xxx

Thanks everyone for your replies. Unfortunately Travelodge is completely booked up for that weekend- never mind.

Thanks again

Try laterooms.com or holidayinnexpress - but check that there is car parking if you need it.
