tambo,
I'm surprised no one has thought of it yet! The merest dusting of snow and the Horseshoe Pass gets closed!

Had a beautiful holiday in The Lake District years ago and loved all the
scenery. Saw my first double rainbow.

Had beautiful holidays on Corfu and Skiathos too. Love the slow pace of life they live.
Thirlmere from about halfway up Helvellyn.
...also the view down onto the Tay from the Dundee Law.
...also the view over the Weald after you go round the bend and under 'that' bridge on the A21 near Tonbridge.
You haven't mentioned spaghetti junction yet, lol!

Thanks for all the answers. Good to see a lot in Yorkshire! I think my favourite is looking down onto Burnsall from the Bolton abbey road. The gracefulness of the man made bridge seems to fit perfectly within its setting.
My favourite view is not to do with wonderful scenery but with the emotion it brings. So my choice would be Knypersley Pool in North Staffordshire because if I' m there, I'm home. IT's like a little piece of heaven.
The top of any of the Lakeland peaks have breathtaking views. I can never get enough of them. We go about 3 times a year and was last there about 2 months ago
I have wonderful memories of Rhos on Sea in N. Wales, especially the front and the beach and the cosy little hotel we stayed in. My favourite view was sitting on the front and looking out to sea - happy days. Not visited for about 10 years now.
