If you have a printer then you could print out the news article about this person and post it through the door of the neighbour with children.
https://www.gov.uk/government/news/sarahs-law-protects-more-than-200-children-in-first-year

you could use this if you are really worried and the Police would advise you who else you could tell, or not, if your information is accurate that is.
There is absolutely no way that you have found out that someone is on the Sex Offenders Register from a newspaper or the internet or from a friend.
It looks as if you have made your mind up and have just come on here for moral backup.
Sorry my advice would be to take your concerns to the police not your neighbours.
Why not chris, I often see it in the newspapers that someone has been put on the sex offenders register?
Question Author
it clearly states he is on the sex offenders register in the manchester evening news i would not be asking if i was not 100% thank you to the people with the sensible feedback.
If it is in the Manchester Evening News then, there can be no law against showing someone a newspaper cutting.

Just be certain it is him not someone who looks like him, a brother for example. Do you know his name and is this same name in the paper.
I suggest you ask the police for advice. It could backfire on you if there is an issue- e.g. mistaken identity- or he could make life unpleasant for you if it's known that you passed it on

Go and ask the police for advice - taking matters into your own hands could lead to a witch-hunt.
I see no reason why you cannot show our neighbours the article from the newspaper and let them come to their own conclusion. Eg is it him, did he do it, just don't embellish the story in any way.
before you commit a libel, make sure you have spelled the mane correctly.
^ or even 'name' ....see how easy it isn't.
yes you can - so long as you are sure it's him

Note Lord McALpine recovered £180 k a throw from all those who repeated the disgraceful libel that he had abused kids in Wales in 1890

Just been checking on Google and as I thought the public CAN NOT view the sex offenders register. It IS NOT on the internet , So whatever list the person you are worried about is on it can not be the actual register. Newspapers can not publish details of persons on the register either, so I don't know what the Manchester Evening news is doing by printing this report.
Some are mentioned when having been sentenced or in relation to another crime, I've seen it before though the Manchester Evening News is my local papers.

If you search "sex offenders register" on the site you will find articles where it is mentioned, often also with the road/street etc... they live in.
The Manc Evg News uses phrases like

and the defendant Smith was made to sign the sex offenders' register......

Show them the cutting ytsrik - people have been a little manky on this thread
^ manky?
..... but not if you're in Harpurhey....

(I am not referring to poor Dr Cloete a paediatrician and her neighbours couldnt spell in Cardiff)

but that in Harpurhey a group were imprisoned for kicking to death some retard and oops it wasn't him (he wasnt the one who was on the sex offenders register and wasnt even near).
of course you can find out these things online : http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-22793239
