Anybody watching the golf? Who do you think is going to win? I fancy Mickelson to do it. He's not playing too badly, and he's been there in so many majors that he's got the game and the experience to perform on the last day.
But what a course! Not a great length, not a links, but a course for the thinking golfer just the same.

Interesting stat Fred. For the record, I'm left handed but play right handed!

And well done that man! He always seemed a talented player who was never able to close out when in majors, but he's done it at last and with impeccable finishing too.
Nice one bibble. Hope you had plenty on him.
Gotta feel for Lefty, 6 times the bridesmaid.
Great game, Rose
First English win in 48y. I wish I could have watched; was it broadcast on Freeview for us masses ?
tambo,
I (and a few others on here) watched it online via one of the many links provided on here by other users.

And sorry to be the pedant but it's 43 years, not 48.

I'll get me coat........
Great victory for Rose, well deserved. He played superbly on all four days, and was a class act afterwards too.

First Englishman to win a major since 1996. It's been great to see the success of other Brits and Europeans, but now it's time for Westwood, Donald, Poulter, Casey et al to make their mark - who will be the next English winner of a major? Not Westwood, I fear ...
Question Author
The next British winner of the Open? Rose. Once they've won one major, winning another comes easier: Mickelson and Harrington, come to mind.
I would love to see lee westwood win the open, just to shut colin montgomerie up!
Meanies......you never shared the online link :o(
Not bad eh.............Rose wins the US Open golf, and Murray is the US Open tennis champion. I wouldn't have minded some odds on that happening within 12 months.
and....Murray donating his charity match to charity dispels 'tight scots' ;)
^^^ och... u know what I mean - irriot me
Poor Lefty. He certainly had it in the bag, but the queen's nag beat him (got his royal ascot by Rose).
