Can anybody who does the "What's it Worth" competitions in Pick me up, write in to them regarding the items being sold on ebay as both myself and a number of other people who check on AB have had the same problems. We have checked Ebay, Google and Jeeves but none of them have come up with an answer. I spent about 3 hours on Ebay last night trying numerous things to get the answer, but to no avail. Thanks in advance to anybody who writes in to Pick Me Up regarding this.

From what I can see, e-bay only displays completed transactions for a couple of weeks. The competition setters are no fools - they'll wait for an item to disappear before asking about it.

Thanks dzug, How do they expect you to find the answers? prior to asking about items which were sold on ebay, it used to be, "Items which were sold at auction" at least this gave you a bit of a chance of finding the answer, and 9 times out of ten you could find the answer on Googls or Jeeves.

you can't find the answers on google or jeeves, i've tried loads of times, have even tried bayraider, auction sites etc , have emailed and wrote to pick me up about this as suggested by you but all i got was a thank you letter for writing to them, now i just leave the question blank and hopefully they'll change the puzzle!

How do they expect you to find the answers?

They would say 'using your skill and judgement'

Translated that means it's a pure guess. Presumably they were getting too many correct answers.
