Ouch again. Poor woman.
My husband ,according to his late mother, weighed 16lb at birth. He's a big man so is possible I suppose.
that must be unbearable - sure it isn't Russian or North Korean...?
I think I saw it in 2009 :o)

I had a big baby.. half that weight though!
one of my godsons was 11 - Mum tiny and a freak out from a friend of ours who was a Jayne Torvill look-a-like, much bigger, and had to have a C for an 8 pounder....she had some major issues that the friend could have her birth naturally for a baby that size....
OUCH! fancy going through that with no operation, medication, and being wide awake. Unbearably painfull i can imagine lol Rather her than me.
Makes me think of a Max Miller joke from at least 50yrs ago.

My neighbour has just given birth to a really big baby boy. He has arm like a boxer, Legs like a footballer and Balls....he simply bawls all night.

For those who have never heard of Max Miller, he was a touring music hall comedian, known as the Cheeky Chappie and was banned from the BBC for a joke which I refrain from telling in AB because I might end up being banned from this site.

I think it was Joan Rivers who said in a similar situation "They are taking bets on who is going to walk first, mum or the baby".
