I have a lapsed life insurance policy from 1985 I cannot find the company on the internet and the tel number is not working am I able to get a surrender value and how can I find them

what information do you have? They may have been taken over by another company. It depends what sort of policy it was, whether there is any s.v.
When you say lapsed, do you mean you stopped paying?
There's a difference if it's a paid-up policy when the benefits may have been frozen, but again it depends on what sort of life policy it is/was - we need to know more!

. . . but maybe we can find their successor company for you. (There are some good researchers here). However we'll need to know the name of the insurer (as shown on the policy document).
