My Glass Panoramic Sunroof is sticking, when you press the button to either open or close instead of opening or closing in one fluid motion, its sticking. stopping and going every inch or so!
Stopped using it now in case it gets stuck open (which would just be my luck!)
I have wiggled the button to make sure the connection is ok!
Any Idea's what might be causing this?

Just been looking at button's on ebay.....£7 ish plus p+p, Looks like it might be worth trying for the sake of a tenner!
just been wondering if it might be worth trying to spray the runners with a bit of wd40
(sunroof hasn't beeen used for an age)
I would use Copper grease on the runners, the only problem with WD40 although it is good product,if you use too much it could stain your roof lining
I would look at lubricating the runners first with something like this

http://www.screwfix.c...arch=silicon+lubicant

but use it sparingly
sorry - this the one I meant

http://www.screwfix.c...il-Pro-PTFE-Lubricant
one of the vehicles i deal with has sticking roof problems its all down to lubricating the runners with the right product, NOT grease or WD40 they make it worse.
If its common on Citroens a local dealer should be able to advise the correct product(assuming this is the issue)..

Thanks for the replies, Just off to buy some Lube...!
Mr - did it work with some lube?

I didn't have to buy any in the end! The sun roof has a spring loaded vinyl type blind which I disconnected and the sunroof worked perfectly! Looks like the blind was hindering the motion of the sunroof...all I have to do now is find a way of making the blind run smoothly!
Thanks for the advice though, much appreciated
lube the blind then - lol
spray some spray grease within the running channels especially on the worm screw and check all runners are clean. It is best to open the roof and stand inside the car to do this.
