...had an accident in the garden last night. He fell, cracking two ribs, and also hit his head. He's been taken to hospital and kept overnight for observation. He may have been discharged by now but he sent a text this morning asking me to bring him a litre bottle of Coke filled 50-50 with Coke and vodka.
I'm mindful of the fate of Apthorpe in the Sword of Honour trilogy. What to do?

tell him he can have that when he's home and of the medication
Say no.
fill it with 10 percent vodka and 90 percent coke and take it to him. You cant save him from himself unfortunately but this is your chance to do something.
Easy. say no. If you haven't responded to the text, then say you never got it. You can't stop him drinking at home but you can stop him causing trouble at the hospital, causing problems for the staff and putting other patients at risk
I wouldn't
Personally I wouldn't: how would you feel if you did and he had another fall compounding his injuries? Offer support in other ways.
tell him you've no money for vodka. Out of your hands then
I wasnt meaning if still in hosptial, but Sandy said he may have been discharged.

Changed my mind, go with Triggs' suggestion
a difficult one, no don't take the alcohol into him, but if he is not discharged soon he may well show symptoms of withdrawal., so I hope he tells nursing staff of his problem, they may well give him medication to ease his symptoms.

I'll tell a white lie and say I never got the text. TY, all.
Sandy know rather a lot about this - location, what he hit etc. I think maybe he was drinking with him!
ignore - flat battery. Best avoid being sued if he dies of alcohol poisoning
Half litre of vodka should be nothing to a hard drinker especially if he's had nothing since last night. Text back to see if he's still in hospital and if so, take him a half litre of coke filled 50/50 coke and vodka. Tell him the smaller bottle was less conspicuous.
Ask him if it is allowed by the hospital.
If he's an alcoholic he'll find a way of getting his booze. BTW, if an alcy suddenly stops drinking it can give him an epilectic fit!
say you did not get the text until next day your battery was out of oomph.
