Yes Ummmm even here in North Herts a 2 bed house rents for over £600 a month , £750 and more for 3 bedroom, quite a lump out of the average take home pay of £1300 or so and impossible with out housing benefit.
Council waiting list is minimum 2 years and more like 5.
The house next door to me is rented out for £800 a month. Not many people could afford that.
