New B&Q, Wicks, Homebase, in your area? Are you one of those that flock, to look at the same spades/wallpaper/bags of sand/plasterboard/bulbs/lawn mowers/doors?

No new ones, we already have a Wickes and a Homebase within ten minutes walk. I never go in to browse, only when I need something. The last bits I got from there was duct tape, cupboard locks (like the child safety ones) and a plastic plant for my vivarium. Hardly exciting purchases.

Not had a new one for ages. Had some Focus ones disappear. But go tot he DIY sheds when I need something. Pain in the neck with a local one is that during the week you are not considered valued enough to be served. It's taking DIY too far to expect one to ring up one's own items, so I go elsewhere where I am valued.

OG, that happened to me at a new B & Q in Dover, was directed to till to find it was self service, offloaded contents of trolley onto scales (???) and pushed empty trolley out in to car park, never to return!
