I have bought a secondhand mobility scooter.

Looks brand new, barely used. Its been standing a few months with no use as the owner took poorly and since passed away.

I tried it out today after we charged the battery overnight. Battery didn't hold the charge, so as expected I will need to buy a new one. Not a problem as I got a bargain with a view to possible dud battery.

Does anyone know if I have to buy the same make as the scooter or can I buy from anywhere so long as the size is correct.

Thanks for reading....

Any brand will do as long as it is the correct size etc. Don't buy too cheap though as they will need replacing much sooner.
The voltage needs to be the same but the amp / hour can be higher to give you longer running time. Make has nothing to do with it, it is the voltage/amps.

go into your nearest Mobility shop for advice they can probably order for you or contact manufacturer via the net.
A mate of mine needed a battery for his wife's and got it off Amazon. He paid half of what the local motability shop wanted for the same make and rating, so shop about it might save you some money.
