Fabric conditioner

i have recently noticed that on a number of garments under the washing instructions there are warnings not to use fabric conditioner. e.g tracksuit bottoms. does anyone know why this is?

some fabrics apparently are a prone to knobbling if fabric conditioner is used, i've never separated non conditioner clothes tho and have had no problems

Towelslose their absorbancy if you use fabric conditioner - just learned this when I bought some new ones! Tested it out and it's true.
