see geometric progression, the distance halfs so the number gets so small its near to 0!

I wonder if this frog is related to that whale in the Thames yesterday!

It all depends where he is going to (the question doesn't say the pond is his destination) and what time he started (which the question also doesn't say)

14 seconds past noon - at noon there remains 23 feet to go, at 7 seconds the frog jumps half the distance, at 7 seconds later the frog jumps the remainder - however, this assumes that the frog's jump takes no time at all.
