It's just the same here but my Labrador loves it. Nothing will put him off his walk, he would go out in a monsoon. It's me that doesn't like being out in a downpour the dog dosn't give a damn.
I've got a got who hates the rain, I've got a decent sized back garden, but if you try to get the dog to go out for a last wee at night, you've no chance, he just sticks his head down and puts his paws up to say NO mum, leave me alone.
Same here Tilly. I had a yorkie once who wouldn't go out in the rain either, I used to try to put him in the garden for his last "outing" before bed, but if it was raining he'd be back in the house before I was!
I'll do a swap; you can have two of mine for yours. The two disappeared at 4pm, when it was just raining, and have returned, soaking wet and muddy, at 00.30.
Another stinking, horrible day here again. The dogs love going out for walks, whatever the weather.
It's like most people have said, getting them into the garden last thing at night is the problem. They have to be pushed through the door. Not too bad when it's a Staffie but the German Shepherd takes some pushing.
Yes, Tony and big dogs can be surprisingly squirmy, can't they?
We once had two Lhasa Apsos and one night, when it was raining, I opened the kitchen door for them to go out. One of them duly did. The other one put his two front feet out on to the step, dropped his bottom and did his wee on the kitchen floor. Job done.
