I wouldn't. I bought one thinking it would be healthy. It cost a fortune in fruit and was a bugger to clean every time i used it - you have to take the whole damn thing apart to get all the goop out of it.
I have a Russell Hobbs "Marco Pierre White" jug style blender. It is brilliant and not difficult to clean at all. I also have a Jack le Lanne Juicer which is a bugger to clean and very wasteful of the pulp from the fruit. The first one does not waste anything at all. Look ion Argos site on the computer and you will see many.

Did wonder if they were easy to clean or not!
Just put some water in it and give it a whirl. Empty the water out and it's done. Anything that may have been oily means you only need hot water and a drop of washing up liquid and then give it a whirl.
My soup maker also has a smoothie setting..cost €42 at COSTCO..easy to clean...
Murphy Richards...forgot to say....
I would just use a stick blender...a lot easier to clean, and cheaper.
This is the cheapest smoothie maker with decent (indeed, excellent) reviews on Amazon:

However this blender is also generally well-reviewed. It can make smoothies and it's a tenner cheaper:

I bought one and used it a lot at first but soon got bored with it. Now its just stuck in my cupboard
Just buy a full-size blender - much more versatile and easy to clean.
Hubby bought me a smoothie maker when they first came out - beaware that too many smoothies can make you put weight on!!!

Its to do with the amount of sugar that fruit has in it.

I use mine now to make cocktails lol
