I know this shouldn't be here but I asked a question in Technology yesterday and didn't get a reply so this is why I'm posting here in the hope that someone might know.
Last week-end I put Norton Internet Security on my computer.
Every time I log on to my computer with either Chrome or IE I get this message.
The following plug-in is unresponsive. Norton Identity Safe.
Would you like to stop it? Yes No.
It doesn't matter which of these options I press as it just won't work so I end up having to turn my computer off and try again and just hope it works.
Do you have any idea or suggestions as to why it does this?
Many thanks.

Personally, I find Norton to be more trouble than its worth.

i would uninstall it and but AVG on - it's free from the Web, I have had it for abnout twelve years now, and had no problems, and I surf a serious amount.

andy I am seriously considering doing this but I will try to solve problems first and hope it settles down, but i won't use it again.
I don't know how toy fix your problem but I wanted to say that I heartily disagree with andy-hughes re: Norton. I wouldn't touch AVG with a bargepole!
*to* fix, not *toy*
I had a problem similar with my Norton, I uninstalled it and then re-installed it, works brilliantly now

Will bear that in mind QoM.
Good Luck MissPrim :)
If you go onto Norton's website you can chat via IM and they will sort out any problems.............

Thanks pinky. Printed the info and first thing was, it said this only happens on Chrome and with me it happens on IE as well.
First thing to do, click on the wrench on the top right hand corner on Chrome. Unfortunately I don't have the wrench icon so not sure what to do now.
Think I will take up craft's suggestion and contact Norton.
