www.hypermobility.org there is a phone number on this site, i'm sure they'd advise.

Joko - I have it too, and was going to suggest the site that Lonnie has done, as it's brilliant. Have a look at the boards as well, as loads of us talk on there regularly, and the regulars will happily answer any queries and / or give tips!

I have Hypermobility too, it is commom in women like me as i have the bleeding disorder Von-Willebrands, it is similar to Haemophilia.

But that is not the only reason, so do not worry, best person to speak to is your doctor, he/she might suggest physiotherapy to get you using your joints normally, which is something i should do too, i have a tendency to sit like a contortionist, it is like being double-jointed, and while to some we seem supple, it actually isn't good for our joints to be put into unusual positions, keep me posted on this, i would like to know how you get on.

thanks all,

I have seen an osteopath - who was fantastic but costly, and physiotherapist who just gave me a sheet of paper with a few exercises on it! barely touched me!

I need to be manipulated as i can't move if i don't, i seize up.

mine is mostly in my neck and spine, and that's where my 'overmovements' are, although i still have to click every other bone in my body - which i know is bad - but what can i do? i can't move

My osteo told me if anyone elses neck moved like mine it would have been broken! and he could almost flatten my ribcage!

i am so used to it now, its become normal but i feel its getting worse - and at 34 its not good to feel so stiff and sore
