I just had to venture out to retrieve one of my little dogs who's blind and had become disorientated by the snow and couldn't find her way back to the house. She'd almost disappeared under it. Green wellies, cream bath robe, and no make-up (me, not the dog). What a vision! Lucky no one can see me!

anne heres the warning again -- if walking your dogs and you walk across grit put down by the council it contains antifreeze in the mix so wash the dogs paws on your retrun because if the dog then licks its paws it could be fatal.
I have passed this in good faith as a dog lover, but in our local Streetlife blog someone has shot me down in flames and said its not true but its better to be safe than sorry.

thanks for kind message albs, It has not snowed overnight so I think I will be able to drive to hosp unless we get a text to say appt cancelled due to weather but I hope not.Still plenty of snow on the ground but the road is clear and not so much traffic out there either.

Good Morning all snowed most of the day yesterday here in Leics stopped about 4 pm. Main roads ok but side roads treacherous. Nothing much planned for today.As long as you rescued your little dogNaomi thats the main thing. Poor things don't know what is going on.I don't have a dog now but when it snowed for the first time my parrot went mad had to draw curtains to calm her down. Have a safe day everyone.

Wendilla, she's not the brightest spark at the best of times - never has been - but now she's old and blind, she does become so disorientated. We've had the snow here for almost a week - but it's much deeper this morning.
