Smoke Alarm Sounding In Cold Weather

I live in a flat above my place of work. During the early hours of the morning the work smoke alarms sometimes go off. I have checked the reason online and found it is possibly due to condensation that can accumulate when the temperatures drop. I have been going down and opening up the shop in order to put on the heating. I am exhausted due to having to get up in the early hours in the morning to do this. Is there any way in which to prevent the alarms reacting to the cold temperatures? Doubt my boss is gonna be willing to pay to replace the smoke detectors with heat detectors which I have read are less responsive to winter temperatures.
Hope someone can help.

Mike, I was going to suggest Heat Detectors until I read your last sentence ;o(

There are other smokes that are not so susceptible to condensation, but it still means replacing them.

Just a thought. Are the detectors battery powered. If so then maybe the batteries are on the verge of failure and the cold weather is making them drop voltage.
Have they been hoovered out recently?

Perhaps dust build up inside may be adding to the problem.
Chrisgel is correct. I have a smoke alarm in virtually every room in my house – it is annoying that the battery drops to the low battery alarm voltage due to the cold night temperature.

When the central heating switches on, the battery voltage increases and the alarm stops beeping.

I have lost count of the number I times I have been up at 5am trying to identify the responsible alarm (otherwise I get a repeat performance the following night/morning).
Then again – I could be wrong, the alarms beep approximately once a minute in a low battery state – they do not make a loud alarm sound.
