Watching fights on film I have always wondered why the giver of a head butt is not as badly hurt as the receiver. The impact of the bang should surely affect both heads the same but it doesn't seem to. Can anyone explain this, perhaps you have a personal experience?

As a Glaswegian I am fully qualified to answer this one....When the butter hits it's with the very top of the forehead where the skull is quite thick and there are no delecate parts to injure...the buttee gets hit in the eye/nose area which is a lot more painful and the nose is easily broken with this type of impact.
