Before my 2 children moved to their own houses they would never put the toilet roll on the holder. Had them here for dinner yesterday . Needed a new roll. Guess where I found it? They both keep their houses well so guess where I am going to put their roll when needed. lol.

Ohhh Wendilla you have given me such a great idea. I shall wait ( I am blessed with patience ) till my step son moves and when I visit him, I will tip my drink on the floor and leave it, drink all of the milk, not wipe my feet, leave banana skins on the carpet, ohhhh lovely thought !!!
My parents have noted, with some suprise, how attentive I am in my new home and how clean and well managed it is. I moved out last year (took me until I was 28). Now a home owner, I take immense pride and do accept that I could have done more at my parents home growing up. You only realise afterwards!!

Yes jd this is how my kids are. Untidy at times in my house but immaculate in their own. Flump hope you get you wish lol.
My eldest daughter is as bad in her own home as she was growing up. I refuse to visit her any more because it is quite bad and I usually end up wanting to tidy and clean for her. My younger daughter is (and always was) very house proud and tidy.

The baby of the family (15 year old boy) is spoilt rotten and has to be ordered to tidy his room when it gets too bad, he never cleans up after himself, makes his own meals or does any chores whatsoever. We keep saying we will make him do something but never get round to it.
My "baby" is 24 and totally useless at doing anything around the house! As I am going away next month for 3 weeks, I have told him that he needs to learn to use the dishwasher, washing machine and vacuum! As much as I am looking forward to my trip, I am also dreading to think what I will come home to!
The younger alba flounced a couple of years ago for a few months, since he's been back he's been a good influence on his older brother.
Quite scary to hear the hoover being used as well as discovering a spotless shiny bathroom.

24 - Dont you mean lazy - knows he's on to a good thing - taking advantage :-)
Mine could iron and cook a basic meal when they were 14.

Anyone remember the ad for a soap powder 'mum, where's my shirt?'
the answer was along the lines of wash it yourself son :-)
Question Author
Just like my daughter ALBA when she asked me to iron a shirt for her when she was at school . I had not ironed it properly and she complained so I said next time do it yourself then you know it will be done right. And she did.

In saying that she is a super cook so I must have taught her well.
