Am I too late to add comments (if any) about this? The voice of my childhood Daphne Oxenford died recently, 'Listen with Mother,' in my case with grandma, 'Are You Sitting Comfortably? Then I'll begin..' Quarter to two every day 15 minutes of songs and stories for pre-schoolers, although we weren't called that then! Anybody else remember the programme and Daphne?

of course. She was brilliant as the shopkeeper in to the manor born as well.
Certainly I do - our habit was for me to Listen with Mother, then for mother to listen to Woman's Hour which followed straight after.
Bless , she bought pleasure to so many...I loved actually sitting down and making myself comfortable at her prompting ! Ahhh memories.
Yes, I remember her and the programme, also Julia Lang.
