... you had to cross the room to change the TV channel?
And probably stand holding the aerial?
How many 'remote' gizmos do you have now?

Fantastic! We have three here. Couldn't be without them! Oh, I am ratter15's other half, by the way. So you will see a wolfie in his profile too. There is a huge community of wolfhound people from all oever the world on facebook, in case you didn't know. Cuddles to your hounds from me.
boxtops, you must therefore remember "Player's No6"? They were 29p for 20 king size in the early 70s at the time when they held 21% of the UK market....
As I type this I can see 5 but I haven't checked down the back of the sofa yet :-)
I remember the car I learned to drive on. It was an old Rover and had to be cranked up to start it. Loved that car though!

They're sis's dogs. Mine are all rescue crossbreeds, but none the worse for that.
Sis belongs to some IW clubs here in Ireland and has started to show the pup very successfully.

Yes, starbuck. Would an OH working overseas count, though i couldn't call him a gizmo?
We have three remotes plus 2, (one each), for the car.
I'm just waiting for an AB remote to come out.
ratter our first tv was a sixpence slot and tv's didn't come on till 6pm
When our next door neighbour hoovered our telly used to develop white fuzzy lines across it.
Said telly was in a walnut cabinet. My dad always took the back off to 'fix it' and seemed to just leave it off...the valves used to terrify me.
Think how much slimmer we were then.
.
You always got a good picture when someone was standing in the most awkward position with the aerial and we would all shout. "Perfect"
I have 8..
