Instead of happy I'd settle for contented

Weecalf:
Normally I'd agree with you. (Happiness is just for kids in my opinion). But it's New Year's Eve; let's at least pretend that we might be happy this year, just for now!

So I'll wish you a happy (or, at the very least, an extremely contented) new year ;-)

All the best,
Chris
:-) HNY!
Chris....Happy, Happy New Year! Gx

Happy New Year, EcclesCake!

Patsy Watchorn is also doing a great job as a replacement for the late Ronnie Drew, with the Dubliners. He hasn't got the same vocal range but he certainly knows how to perform.

Oops!

Wrong thread!!!
That's fine......love Patsy Watchorn. :-)
Happy New Year Chris x

. . . and a very happy new year to you, Gness
Question Author
. . and to you V&C
(May your V&Cs contain far more V than C all year long!)
Lol they always do! :)
To you and yours, Chris, all the best in the New Year...

This Haiku was in my in-box just today:

ashes, few embers—
enough for a fresh fire though
this New Year’s morning

Seems entirely appropriate without being maudlin...
happy new year to you too, Clanad - I guess you're stuck with 2012 for a while yet.
Happy New Year Clanad. Were you lucky enough to be home for NY? ( or more realistically - did your completely inhuman, computer generated roster system decide that you would be home for NY?)
Question Author
Happy New Year, Clanad (even though you won't have quite have reached it yet if you're at home!) and, of course, to 237SJ and Jno as well.

Chris
a rational and evenly paced 2013 to you too, Chris
Thanks Buenchico - Happy New Year to you.
Jno[i and [i]237js]... wishes to you for the best New Year yet... for the entire year. Hope you come to the U.S. yet again, jno!

Took some annual leave for the first time in a number of years, 237js, just to try being at home for the Christmas holidays. Bored out of my gourd, though after about 4 days. Computer is generating training/simulator dates though... sigh, at the mercy of electrons (mostly errant at that)...

Of course, there's always Tahiti!
Happy New Year, Chris
