Gardening has become impossible because the local landlord raises (and then shoots) hundreds of pheasants. Is there a selective method of scaring these pests without scaring other small birds?

old freebie CDs suspended around your garden along with tinkling bells keeps them off. Except on my allottment where I would have to sit there 24/7 to keep on top of them.
