Following Dave's Monday thread on Aldi offers, he has just come back to say that their Chateau Marquis D'Alesme Becker (a Margaux) is a 2004 at a penny under £23.

If you want cracking wine, 04 is a bloody good year, the price is "reasonable" should we say. Personally, I am going for Chateau de Ferrand 06, a Pomerol @24-75 or a Chateau Larrivet Haut Brion 'Les Demoiselles' 04 for my Xmas red wine (but not Aldi).
