I have a Humax box and have 3 programmes set to record using the series link. Today for some reason they were wiped off so I had to reset them. This has happened before when we have searched for new channels. We do not know why this happened today, has anyone any idea please.

I believe you have been as victim of a forced retune...if there is a channel change you get notification on screen and if you aren't there to decide the Humax will force the retune which results in the loss of your schedule...just one of Humax little annoyances..especially if you are on holiday for a month and it happens during the first week ..:-)

I got a Humax hasnt happened to me so far, why dont you ring their Helpline and ask them ? 0844 669 8800/0677.
I find Humax much better than when we had Freeview.
Not sure what you mean Dee..Humax boxes are Freeview boxes....that's what they do!...and I am right about the auto retune....but it does depend which firmware version you have...

Sometimes the broadcast network invites you to perform a retune, because there have been transmitter frequency changes or new services added. With firmware 1.02.20 (and previous) a message appears on-screen inviting a retune. With 1.02.27 onwards, the message appears but if you do not cancel it within a few minutes the retune continues without permission (at cost of your recording schedule and the possible need of repeating the retune manually). Call it an opt-out rather than an opt-in. You could be off making a cup of tea, and return to find it in the process of tuning - or even worse return from holiday to find it retuned and no recordings made while you were away*.
