What does the tooth fairy do with childrens teeth?

The wee one lost one of her milk teeth recently and put it under the pillow but she wanted to know what the tooth fairy did with the teeth. I said it went for recycling. What does the tooth fairy do with all those teeth?

I asked my 6yr old G/daughter this Q. She said "They sprinkle them with fairy dust & they all stick together to build Fairy castles"
Why didn't I know that?

I was always told they used them to make beautiful rockeries in their gardens.Maybe that was because my parents loved gardening.As logical as any of the others!

She takes them to her fairy castle, but in reality, mummy keeps them all tucked away in a box with the first curl of hair. and hospital tag.

We never put the tooth said tooth under the pillow, we always put it unser the corner of the rug in the front roo. it made much easier access!

I never knew what to tell my son when he asked, but unknown to him we kept them all at stuck them into blu tac and presented it to him when he was older. He still has them and is fascinated to think they were really his.

She gives them back to the parents, in a little bag, which the parents unsuccessfully try to hide in a drawer beside their bed.
