Turmeric stains

Does anyone know of a way to remove turmeric stains from plastic containers?

Have you tried an abrasive cleaner like jif or a natural one like bicarb of soda?

I haven't tested/proven it myself but a friend reckons that sunlight takes turmeric stains out of fabric.

Perhaps leave the containers on the window sill and see what happens.

Very near impossible , I work in a pro kitchen and anything that comes into contact with Tumeric ends up brown or yellow , we just put up with it. When we do a curry it is for 300 portions that's a lot of tumeric.

Stain is virtually impossible to remove but it won't hurt you so what's the problem?

I don't bother, it's a stain, it's not poisonous
