I know it is very early, but number 30 is bugging me. I have an answer, which is almost perfect! It's just that Twinkie is an American slang word for bimbo, and my answer is Twinkle (as in the film).
I can't find any references to twinkietoes.

Clue- look at the first letter of the last four words in the clue.
I agree with you on both points - it is way too early and yes the first part does appear awry. Plenty time to ponder though.

You've already got it.This is a challenging quiz but there's plenty of time.I think I'll be asking for clues nearer the closing date!
Well there are already 3 pages just on this one question on the crossword forum so guess thats it now
Sorry,smouse-shouldn't have even given a clue!
By the way what is the crossword forum, please?
http://www.crosswordsolver.org/forum/

and because it used to be just crosswords they ask more on there than they do on here as most people who dont answers arent quizzers
Thanks for that link,smouse-won't be using it though! It really is a pity that people don't try harder to figure answers out for themselves till near the closing date. I'm still struggling with this quiz but I'm getting there.Feels great when you finally suss out an answer!
