There are more than a few reputable, educated scientists who say that the evidence points to the existence of a Designer or Creator. A few go still further. They question the scientific integrity of their colleagues who dogmatically dismiss the existence of God.
How often do we find evolutionists applying such phrases as “maybe wrong” to their theories? Sadly, such modesty seems to be in short supply among them. In truth, modesty and integrity should lead more scientists to admit that science, which is limited to a study of the physical realm, is ill-equipped to answer questions about the existence of a Creator.
And the Bible is not a science textbook. It is, however, a book of truth, and truth can stand the test of time. (John 17:17)
What I teach is not of my own. We endeavor to share with others what we have learned from the Bible. In turn, we direct others to the Bible, not with the goal of proving that we are right, but with the humble desire of letting them see for themselves what it says. We agree with Jesus Christ, who said in prayer to his Father: “Your word is truth.” (John 17:17) There is no greater authority than Jehovah God, the Creator of heaven and earth. The soundness of our arguments depends on their being based on his Word.

@Mellymell. Sorry, if my writing style is opaque to you. I can be verbose, but I also credit those that might read my posts with sufficient intelligence to be able to navigate the verbiage and see the basis of the argument. Perhaps I am being too optimistic?

A few scientists can question the validity of their colleagues as much as they like - such criticisms are just hot air unless they can present empirical evidence to support a designer, and they cannot. Their latest attempt has been with the notion of Intelligent Design - a notion that has been tested and shown to be false and worthless.
As to this wrongheaded notion of yours that "evolutionists" arrogantly dismiss criticism and exhibit total certainty over their ideas -This is a patently false worldview - Anyone with even the remotest understanding of science will recognise how cautiously evidence is presented. It is all about the data, all about the evidence - its quality and its significance.
If your alleged designer can affect and interact with the material world, then that is all the justification science needs to investigate such claims and attempt to find such evidence - and none can be found. Instead what we find is a purely naturalistic universe, admitting of no need for a supernatural creator. You are making an old argument, best phrased, ironically enough, by the eminent evolutionary biologist Stephen Jay Gould of "Non Overlapping Magisteria" - that religion and science have their own domain of authority, with no overlap between the two. It was, most would agree I think, an effort to conciliate, but one ultimately without credence.
If you wish to attempt to justify your faith and make factual claims for your gods abilities, then you need to be able to demonstrate the evidence to support it, and you cannot. This is why those who interpret the bible as the inerrant word of god always run foul of science, and why they always attempt to reject or subvert the science.

No, The Bible contains a great deal of evidence that it was inspired by a superhuman intelligence. For example, it contains many prophecies, or history written in advance. Some of these describe the very conditions of our modern world today (Timothy 3:1-5) Humans cannot reliably foretell the future.

It also teaches us his personal name, describes his personality, and tells how he has shown an interest in mankind over the years. It even reveals what he has in store for us. In his Sermon on the Mount, reported both at Matthew 5:1–7:29 and at Luke 6:17-49, Jesus sharply contrasted two classes: the scribes and Pharisees and the common people they oppressed. This life is like a ball thrown into the air that soon falls into the dust again. It is a fleeting shadow, a fading flower, a blade of grass to be cut and soon withered. What we do, say or think, or refrain from doing, saying or thinking, does not really matter, if this life is all there is. On the scales of eternity our life span is a negligible speck. In the stream of time it is not even a healthy drop.
Certainly the Bible is right when he reviews life’s many human concerns and activities and pronounces them vanity. We are so soon gone we might as well have never come, one of billions to come and go, with so few ever knowing we were here at all. This view is not cynical or somber or morose or morbid. It is truth, a fact to face, a practical view, if this life is all there is. (Eccl. 7:6)
