yeah very, must be them mushrooms my mate gave me lol
like you're watching your life continue without seeming to have any effect on it. you're being given deadlines, etc that you try to fulfill but start to wonder if it would actualy effect anyone outside the bubble if you made it on time or not...

yeah, I think I know the feeling... not a good one though.
Are you feeling anxious lately? A sense of unreality can be caused by anxiety.
Yeah, I get that occasionaly. Maybe we'll go mad together! KittyGlitter may be right as the first time I experienced it was outside an exam hall.

Yes I struggle with that often mmc, usually when I'm anxious or depressed but it's also part & parcel of Fibromyalgia which I (& others on here have). The trouble is it makes you panic doesn't it which in turn makes it worse. The dark winter days make it much worse too.

Hard I know but try not to dwell on it, occupy your mind as far as possible with things you enjoy, have music or the radio on in the background when possible. Go out for a walk or a browse round shops that are lively but aren't too busy. Talk to as many people as possible, you never know, they might be feeling the same! Might even be me!!

If it really gets you down, go & have a word with your doc, you might be a bit depressed. Take care. x

yeah, i often get that. it feels a bit like i am in a dream or something. it doesn;t tend to last that long and to be honest, i kind of like it. it feels a little bit like deja vu.
I get that missmooncat ! You are not alone hun......sometimes I'm at work, walking to the photocopier or something to run an errand and I think "I don't really remember telling myself to do this".....a bit like when you drive a car on 'auto pilot'. Is that what you mean?? It scares me in that, do others around me look at me like I am a wierdo or do I look normal......now I am getting anxious!
I often get this when I'm really tired- are you sleeping okay? Also are you taking any new medication? Even a different headache tablet can make me feel like that.
I suffered with this just prior to being diagnosed with depression. It's very strange and disconcerting. I found it worst with things happening in my peripheral vision, then turning to face them, it was almost like slow motion, very hard to describe. I was prescribed anti-depressants (also used to control O.C.D and anxiety)which were very effective in ridding me of both the depression and this weird feeling. If I missed the pills for a couple of days, I could feel it coming back, but eventually, after about a year, I came off of the pills and the feelings have not come back.

Yeah, I know what you mean. Like you're detached from the world and that things are just going on around you and that you're appart from it all.

I don't think it's a probelm to occasionally feel that way as long as it's not a feeling you have most of the time.
