I was cutting the grass today when a line of a song came into my head. I've no idea where it came from but guess it was probably one my mum or dad sang when I was young. Anyway, found it on You Tube. It's called "He played his ukulele as the ship went down". If I could I'd post it on here, but as I don't know how to do this I can only give you the link:

My dad always sang this song and every now and then it pops into my mind and and I find myself singing it.Even 30 years after his death if one of the kids hear me they always refer to it as "Grandads song"

Oh Paddywak that brings back lovely memories too. I sang that to my kids when they were young - loved Mike Harding singing it.
I think it was the signature tune of Captain Pugwash cartoons, thats who I always associate with this song, havent heard Mike Harding sing it anyone can put it up pls ? what has happened to Mike Harding saw him years ago in Dubai he was great.

thats paddywak thats made my evening, Pugwash is one of my fav characters, also thanks to maggi for Mike Harding news, has he still got curly hair and the one earring ?
