Anyone know where I can buy the kind of tongs that Gordon uses. They have about 5 'fingers' that come out at right angles to the tong handles. I have looked everywhere with no luck.

Look for 'spaghetti tongs' or 'sausage tongs'. Should cost about 2.00.

Try www.nisbets.co.uk or at http://www.bslh.net/tongs.htm (tongs page to make it easy). You don't need to be a chef or in the trade to order. Happy cooking..

Thanks nickmo. Really useful websites, am going to order some.

Glad to help. Order hundreds and use them as Chrissy pressies to everyone!

Just a caution, as they are not the most robust - designed to lift pasta - so if you want a slightly more durable version, the better one would be what are called 'catering tongs' which have a lock on the handles to kep them apart and a spring between the tongs. You may prefer them as the other styles are a bit awkward as they are always 'open'. You'll get these on the same sites of course.
