Sore back - help

I have a horrible pain in my back and it has driven me nuts for a couple of days. Can't remember doing anything which may have hurt it.

I think that it is muscular - the muscles that hurt when you cough too much. It feels like someone has hit me in the middle of my back - and it hurts very very much when I move. I am assuming that it will go away on its own.

I have been taking paracetamol as I am unable to take Ibuprofen. I don't know if they are working as the pain is still there.

When I move it feels like the whole sore bit is going into a spasm.

So - will I put an ice pack or a hot water bottle on it to try and ease it?

Thanks - I have a fear of getting stuck in bed and the cats reduced to snacking on me. :-)
Try a nice hot radox bath, wolf.
Can you stretch or get someone to pull you up, thinking trapped nerve?
Warmth and very gentle manipulation. Gx

sibton - it isn't nerve related, I get that when I walk.

tony - getting stuck in the bath is a great idea!

I will go with the warmth - maybe strap a tom cat to my back when I go to sleep.

I can't believe how debilitating this is. Good job I don't work and live off the state in my plush abode with all the new technology. :-)
volterol! it's reall effective ..
Sorry wolf, never thought of that.
try a hot water bottle to your back if there is no one available to massage

any voltarol or similar cream. There is a spray that does the same thing that

might be easier for you to use..but for now a hot water bottle..it might take

couple of days to ease it.
