I have about 4 small scabs on the TOP of my head and stupidly i can't help picking them.
they are now rather sore, and possibly getting infected etc
(i seem to keep picking them without realising im even doing it)
however - today i have 2 small lumps on the back of my neck - slightly to one side and along the hairline -
i thought they were just very sore pimples - i very rarely get spots etc - but i've looked at them and there is nothing visible there really - no spot or redness etc - just a slight lump
they are just very tender and sore, and only about the size of a pea

are these like swollen lymph nodes or glands or something in reaction to the swelling and soreness of the scabs?

they only really appeared about 4 hours ago

any ideas?

thanks

You diagnosis is right on the money.

The scalp lesions may be an infected dermatitis, but shingles has to be excluded. See your GP.

If a scalp infection, be sure to disinfect hair tools.
