Hi hippy-1, As bibblebub said.

instruction book = guide
thats ridiculed = guyed (made fun of)
on radio = This is a term that crossword setters use for 'sounds like'.
i.e, on the radio (sounds like) because you hear it as opposed to seeing it written.
