not sure what anyone here can say really.
but rather than moaning - do something.
organise neighbourhood watch - contact other organisers and see how its done.
ask residents to club together to get cctv intsalled in communal areas - also fit your own. spend some money on home security - do online searches for general tips, like hiding valuables, making it look like someones home, fitting locks, displaying security stickers in windows etc
look into the 'green' schemes ... gather residents and arrange to do up the street ... bit of gardening, painting, tidying etc - as a community
speak to the police about your concerns and see what they say - if they can offer any guidance.
as i say, moaning wont stop it. so maybe if you take a more proactive route
i know someone who claims they went to the local community centres and got loads of posters and notices etc even made thier own, on clubs and socs and activities in the wider areas, and put them up nearer where the kids hang about - and it sort of worked - the kids began to explore other options that they hadnt known about - not sure if that would work but could be worth a try.
stuff like climbing, biking etc
not just the nearest local centre though, as they will probably have seen them there.
