Hi guys,

Bit of a question for any of you Bristolites (Bristolians?). I'm relocating to Bristol or the surrounding area. I'm not gonna have mega-money, so would not be adverse to living further out, but somewhere I can get into to the centre relatively easy for nights out, etc ;-).

The main thing constraining me is where it is. I currently live in the North so would appreciate easy access to the M5 for getting back home and the M4 for getting to work.

I really would appreciate it if any of you can tell me areas that are nice or areas that are on the rough side and should be avoided if possible. I'm gonna be looking to rent a 1 bedroom (or studio) flat or bedsit, so any other advice like how much money i should be looking at paying in said areas or even the names of any good letting agents would be very greatly appreciated.

Cheers, Frank.

GOOD LUCK!!! Even away from the city centre, you're looking at 500 a month for a bedsit...plus bills, plus Council Tax (WHICH IS REALLY STEEP). You might be better off looking for shared housing - have a look at http://uk.easyroommate.com/ BUT steer clear of St Pauls, Easton and Eastville, unless you're into drugs and prostitution....takes all sorts I spose...
