I have bought a piece of furniture on ebay and a company I found on the tinternet won a bid to deliver. Two men are bringing it and will carry it up one flight of wide, not steep, stairs. It shouldn't take them any more than 5 mins once they arrive. So do you think I should tip them or not and if so how much? Thanks.

Yes, rsvp, I wish there was a book I could refer to.
£2-£3 seems mean, I'd actually rather give nothing than that.
And I don't drink beer so I won't be buying any.
gness I don't know. I did it through a host site that takes bids from interested parties and you choose the bid you want to run with. So don't really know anything about the company except they got a good customer score.
Give them a tip - look both ways before you cross the road!
ladybird....you are making a "song and dance" about this simple decision, it reminds me of the saying "I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure"

Just make up your own mind and do it.

sqad, I know, I'm a Libran, it's what we do. XX
Lady! Truly £58 is more than enough. If they worked for the Co-Op for example a tip would be fine. They probably wouldn`t appreciate less than £10 each and to a pensioner that`s a good chunk.
Like I said, I`m a tipper but I wouldn`t and most wouldn`t so they won`t expect it.
Nearly said tip sucker bit never know who`s around!
Round my7 way, the hairdresser would expect a tip, and the local restaurant and the taxi drivers expect a tip, so i would give them a tip if they have given me good service.
£10, fiver each is not bad & is a reasonable tip Lady.
