Whenever I right click on a single image / photo file (jpg, gif....) to bring up conetx menu, 'MY Computer' closes down and I am asked if I want to send error message to Microsoft. This proble does not occur if I click on any non image/photo file. The probem does not occur if I select more than on image / photo file. Has any one struck this problem and / or know how ti fix problem?

The contents of the context menu can be modified by programs you install. It sounds as if you have installed some graphics software which has a bug. Think back to when the problem first occurred: what have you installed since then? Try uninstalling to see if the problem goes away.
I agree - it could either be a program (maybe not even a graphics program but probably is) that has added something to this context menu or it could be the dll files that Windows uses to generate and manage the context menu. (less likely).

I'd either try uninstalling anything that you suspect may have caused the problem, or use the program below to find out which centext menu item is problematic. I had this problem specifically when I right clicked and chose "properties" - you seem to have it as soon as you right click??

double click on the executable file and when it runs click "type" to group the 'ContextMenu' items together. Disable these one at a time and see if any of them fix your prob.

Good luck!
oh, by the way, if you're disabling these context menu items one at a time, I'd start with the non-Microsoft ones first.
Thanks for the tip, stevie21 - a useful bit of software.
