about 25 years ago i bought a pair of black leather knee high boots quite expensive at the time but i am still wearing them todayso overall a bargain .
any one else bought anything that has gone on and on
Yes. 20+ years ago I bought a pair of shorts for a quid from Skegness market.
They've been re-stitched at the seams (only once, mind) and they are so comfortable, I am loathe to part with 'em. Aye, I'm a canny Yorkshire lass. :o)
In 1984 I bought a wool suit from Windsmoor. I paid a lot of money for it but it was for an interview, so I thought, why not. Grey/blue Chanel style jacket and straight skirt. The skirt no longer fits but the jacket goes on and on. I love it. It goes with trousers and jeans. So I can dress up or down.

I bought a cheap toilet bag from the body shop when i was going on holiday. It cost me a whole pound and i remember my friend telling me i was wasting my money as it wouldn't last the whole trip. That was in 1990 and it's still going strong.
I bought a couple of high-end leather jackets a few years ago, I suspect you'll be able to bury me in them if I don't pass them on, so eventually they will be a bargain. Well that's how I justify the cost to myself anyway!
i guess overall a bargain, a sofa and chair that i bought many years ago, which lasted 15/16 years, and quite honestly the replacement won't last a quarter of that.
In about 1980 my friend's son was bought a t-shirt. When he grew out of it, it was handed to my eldest, then back to her youngest son. When he had finished with it my friend gave it to me and I wore it for a bit. Then I made it into a neck gaiter and wore it some more. I have only just got rid of it. My Mum has only just disposed of my final terry nappy after 60 years. She had used them as floor cloths!
My wedding ring has lasted me 44 years and considering the happy marriage I've had that must be my best bargain.
My wife is getting a bit fed up going shopping in her wedding dress, mind, but waste not want not!!
Yes wendylottie, I bought a pair of Kickers red boots 36 years ago. Cost me £25.00, a lot then. Still wear them even though I have two other pair of Kickers boots. I love them little old faithfuls.
