Have you got any spanners & a ramp to start with? If so, drive the car onto a ramp & block the back wheels & put the handbrake on & select 1st gear, make sure you have the radio code before you start as you will be taking off the + Battery Lead under the bonnet, get under the car look up usually the N/S
Passenger side) there should be 2 bolts securing the starter to the Gearbox Bellhousing, & 2 main wires on the front of the starter, remove the starter wires first then the Bellhousing bolts, it is now ready to remove. what makes you want to remove the starter?

Thanks for that TWR,it's not turning over. Was going to look at the wiring first, round the ign etc, then the stater wiring. As a last resort thought might have to take off the the stater and check it.All the dashboard lights come on,and stay on when you turn the key.Have cleaned the battery and earth leads some weeks back,it has worked until yesterday.Hope this helps.Mick
I'm sure you will find it's you battery Screen, is it the type that you top up? if so, open the 6 plastic caps on the top of the battery & top the water up just over the cells, I would also get the battery checked by an Auto elec, they can tell you within a min of testing that the battery is a duffer or OK, Do you do very short journeys? meaning are you taking out of the battery then not putting enough back in to recharge! what I mean by that going into your town with your light / heater/ demister/ radio on, this takes a hell of a toll out of the battery if you do not go on a long run to put it all back in, before you go down the line of your starter I would get the battery checked, I'm sure that is you problem not the starter.
To Add, turn on your lights & turn the starter the same time, do all the lights Dim? if yes, Battery.
