Morning AB'ers - help please with 7d. Spooner's bushy vegetation increased form of security (4,5):

g-u- s-r-w

So presumably the answer is grub screw - can't work out why though? Is it a spoonerism for 'scrub grew' i.e. bushy vegetation?
