How does this work?

Seen a meal deal...£28 al a carte menu.

However it says "average £28"

So is it 28 for the food or not!!?

Confused.

Obviously will pay more for drinks etc xx

I just wondered if anyone has turned up and been charged more.

For two yes, in glasgow.

If i ever work out how to create a flippin account that is!!!?

Says on average 28. And u pay at the venue....so i bet you get there and its more than expected xx
Probably be for the main
If you're having two boiled eggs it'll be cheaper than having a fillet steak, but the two will sum up to an average price, somewhere in the middle. So a meal could cost you less than £28, or more than £28.
I've heard that Heston charges approximately £28 for two boiled eggs.

Whats the point then!?

Theres no "deal"

A 'Meal Deal' for an a la carte menu is a bit of an oxymoron, which is why they add the rider of an 'average' price. Hence your understandable
confusion. I would feel the same.
Which leads one to the conclusion that you should telephone them and ask.
But that takes away the convenience of booking on-line in the first place.
Yes, you could be charged more than £28.00, but you/we would need to see the menu. Personally, I don't think you would benefit that much, unless you opted for two instead of three courses.
These 'lastminute' deals normally only work for holiday or hotel bookings.
