I wondered if it was ok to put a ceramic slow cooker crockpot in a conventional electric fan oven.

It all depends on the make and model some you can , you would have to read the booklet that came with it or look on manufaturers website
If it's just the ceramic liner (and there's a symbol on the bottom to say you can) then it should be OK. - but don't take my word for it.
If it doesn't specifically say so then I would'nt risk it. I'm pretty sure mine said do not use on hob or in oven.
Why should you want to do that? A slow cooker is what it says - a slow cooker. Perfect if you want to go out all day and come home to a lovely cooked meal.
I`ve just looked at the instructions for my Morphy Richards slow cooker and it says to not put it in the oven.
I'll go with the others then, and say no, don't do it. If you need a dish for the oven, buy a separate one.
I did it and the lid cracked.... very expensive casserole dish as I couldn't get a replacement

Thanks everyone for your answers. Dont think I will risk it then. Just wanted to know cus am making stew and dumplings and really like the dumplings well done and crispy which the slow cooker fails to do. Oh well will just have to transfer it to an oven proof dish. Cheers again
Take the dumplings out just before you want to serve and brown them under the grill.
